Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Guren no Yumiya; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.
- Article length, eligibility (due to GA), QPQ, and hook checks out. The past tense used in the hook is a bit clunky though, and it almost reads like a hypothetical at first glance. Perhaps we can make it "Paul Gosar was censored..."? Generalissima (talk) 18:50, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- It should also be "censured", not "censored" Vahurzpu (talk) 23:10, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Generalissima: How does ALT0a sound? Johnson524 03:17, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- I think Alt0a looks good. Generalissima (talk) 03:19, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnson524 and Generalissima: I would probably call ALT0a unduly negative about a living person; (in the past, we had a whole article about that incident, but we don't anymore, partially because it was a bad BLP fork). Could another hook be found, or maybe we omit Gosar? theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 03:53, 13 November 2023 (UTC)

- @Theleekycauldron: Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea this was a larger thing, and figured it was just an interesting tidbit of information for a DYK. You're right, I completely agree with the "unduly negative" statement with your context. Would you like it if we used ALT1 instead, or would you still like to use ALT0 in some other format (though I am a bit weary about that now). Cheers! Johnson524 13:41, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- You could probably get away with the hook being more vague: (ALT0b: ... that an anime opening theme was involved in the censure of a U.S. Congressman?), but it's not a bad idea to go with something else entirely. theleekycauldron (talk • she/her) 19:04, 13 November 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know how DYK works exactly but I think a very neutral and interesting one would be the "Number one tweeted word on twitter on NYE" would be a nice one, I found another source about it that could also be added to the article. One slight issue though is that since these are Japanese sources I don't know if it was number #1 just in Japan or worldwide, so I don't know how well this would work, just my 2 cents. - @Generalissima: Ok, I've posted the three leading hooks above and crossed out the two problematic ones. As the reviewer, could you make the final decision on which one sounds best? Thank you theleekycauldron and WanderingMorpheme for your help on this, I feel I've learned more about DYK from this experience. Cheers! Johnson524 15:48, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnson524: So sorry for for being late to see this! I personally feel ALT0b is the most interesting while not straying into BLP violation. ALT2 is good too, the source checks out, but a bit less interesting as a hook. Generalissima (talk) 16:08, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Generalissima: Thank you for the review! Johnson524 16:28, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Johnson524 and Generalissima: I think I have cconfirmed ALT2 - because I want it for New Years 2023. So if I understand, "Jaeger" was the most tweeted word on New Year's Eve 2013 and that was related to a lyric in the song Guren no Yumiya. Found at the end of the first paragraph in the Live performances and other usage section of our article. Bruxton (talk) 19:47, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
