- Article is new enough, long enough and adequately sourced, however the hook is pretty bland, basically saying that someone graduated from University and Law School before starting a legal career. How about, as an alt hook,
- ALT1: ... that Gordon R. Thompson was the youngest-ever appointee to any state supreme court in the U.S. when chosen? Valenciano (talk) 20:25, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
- I thought it was interesting that two brothers went to the same university and the same law school and both became judges, but I'm fine with your suggested alt hook too, so I'd leave it up to the promoter as to which one to use. OCNative (talk) 19:38, 23 March 2013 (UTC)
- New reviewer needed to check ALT1 hook (now labeled and fully formatted), give opinion on relative merits of both hooks, and finish the review, including any facets not mentioned above. Thanks! BlueMoonset (talk) 17:56, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- New hook fact present in article, verified by in-text citations. I'd prefer ALT1 because it's not uncommon for two brothers to choose similar career paths. FallingGravity (talk) 04:32, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
