  • Article is long enough and well above 1500 characters. Posted by due date. Earwig's Copyvio Detector: Violation unlikely. QPQ Done. Text is well referenced. Hook is interesting, neutral, cited and verified in the newspaper article. @Dharmadhyaksha: [1] please check if the hook should be "military base camp", instead of military base (the former implies temporary, the latter permanent)? [2] The article is nicely written, but the history presentation jumps from 17th century to 21st century. Please consider adding a few sentences to fill the gap on what happened in between, so that the context for renovation becomes clearer; you will find a few notes in the Donald Lach's book you cited, on its pages 751, 746 and 652 (I am unclear if the "few traces of Gopi Talao remain" is referring to its condition in 20th century or earlier, please check). On page 617 of the same book, there is a mention of this lake was cut out of a rock, which may be worth mentioning somewhere. With these minor fixes, this is good to go. @Ms Sarah Welch: Thanks for the review and you were right that it’s a "military base camp". I had ignored the word in the reference, myself being ignorant of the difference. Also, the siege of Surat doesn’t find much elaborate mentions in any books so I guess “camp” would have been sufficient for Akbar. Also thanks to various points you mentioned. I have added them all in the article. Do have a look. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {Talk / Edits} 07:45, 11 January 2016 (UTC)
