Godville
[edit]- that video game Godville is a zero-player game, requiring no player interaction with the main character?
- Comment: This is my 3rd article submitted for DYK. Accepting other suggestions for a hook.
5x expanded by Izno (talk). Self-nominated at 14:19, 9 July 2017 (UTC).
- The article has had a five fold expansion. It clocks at 4243 characters so it's long enough; written without bias and close paraphrase. Sources supported inline but some of them were retrieved from the subject's official website which is WP:PRIMARY; the sources should be independent of the subject per WP:RS. The hook is interesting as well as concise. No QPQ necessary as this is the nominator's 3rd DYK. Bluesphere 08:39, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Bluesphere: Yes, I tried to keep to RS. The only references to primary sources are for the basic facts listed in the development timeline: "released for these platforms on these dates" which I believe falls in the range of valid WP:SELFPUB. There might reasonably be RS out there for those statements but none presently vetted in WP:VGRS#List. --Izno (talk) 13:21, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- And actually, the platforms can be cited to TNYT for iOS, Windows Phone, and Android, so it's just the dates as well as the reference for the web browser. --Izno (talk) 13:25, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Slightlymad: since you may not have gotten it the first time? --Izno (talk) 21:25, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
- Sorry to have kept you waiting. In any case, I'm unconvinced by the use of the ofc website, which is published on Blogspot, as a reference. Could you change them somehow? Slightlymad (talk) 07:54, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Slightlymad: Can you explain why you think these are not appropriate applications of WP:SELFPUB? To wit, the material is neither self-serving nor exceptional; no third parties are involved; the events are directly related to the sources; there should be no reasonable doubt to the authenticity; and the article is not mostly composed of such sources (being restricted to a single paragraph). --Izno (talk) 11:09, 9 August 2017 (UTC)

- My only beef here is the use of BlogSpot to host the official site instead of using their own domain. This should be ready for the main page now that things have finally been clarified to me. Slightlymad (talk) 12:03, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
