Giovanni Battista Lusieri
[edit]( )
- ... that it was Giovanni Lusieri who suggested that his employer should remove the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon (pictured)?

- I support and approve! I was shocked myself to discover that he had such a big role in the Elgin marbles, and no Wikipedia article! Nice to see this DYK to help set the record straight. Instead of the controversial "his employer should take the Elgin Marbles", could it be "his employer remove the Elgin Marbles from the Parthenon to preserve them"? Or is that too long? Not everyone is as aware of the Elgin Marbles as they are of the Parthenon.
