Gerald Williams (tennis commentator)
[edit]- ... that John McEnroe asked an umpire to tell tennis commentator Gerald Williams to "keep his voice down"?
Created by Gareth E. Kegg (talk). Nominated by Bcp67 (talk) at 13:58, 22 January 2016 (UTC).
- Move date checks out. Subject seems notable, prose portion of article is clearly over 1500 characters. Hook is interesting, neutral, sourced to The Daily Telegraph, verified by an inline citation, and is under 200 characters. QPQ is not needed when nominating other people's articles.
But the results from Earwig copyvio detector suggest that some of the quotes in the article might be a little too long. Once that has been sorted out, this one is good to go.
- Disagree on the QPQ - I still need to a review another nomination, as mentioned above "all nominators who have five or more DYK credits must review another article". I think the exemption for non self-nominators was removed some time ago. I'll do the review in a day or two.Bcp67 (talk) 19:23, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- Fair enough, that's news to me, thanks. Also, having had another look at the copyvio detector, 44% doesn't seem like such a big deal; once the QPQ has been met, this one should be ready to go. A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 22:49, 23 January 2016 (UTC)
- QPQ finally done! Bcp67 (talk) 06:59, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
