Georges Gillet
[edit]... that Georges Gillet (pictured) encouraged François Lorée to set up his own oboe manufacturing shop, which became F. Lorée?
- ALT1: ... that Georges Gillet (pictured) was the first person to use and teach vibrato on the oboe at the Paris Conservatory?
- Reviewed: Fourth DYK nom--no QPQ needed

- Interesting article with many aspects of the subject, good sources. I love the interview to reference ALT1, but think it doesn't support it. His uncle used it before him ;) - I also doubt that the Paris Conservatory is equal to the oboe world as the article claims. Try again. The original hook is sourced but a bit on the dry side. The image is fine and free, will hopefully be used. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:01, 4 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: Actually, even though the interview says "his uncle", this is Fernand Gillet speaking about Georges. I changed the hook, so let me know how that looks! :) BenLinus1214talk 02:29, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you, I removed the oboe link, guess that is known, - the fewer links the better for your subject ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:21, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
