Geologic map of Georgia
[edit]- ... that William Maclure produced the first geological map of the U.S. (pictured) in 1809, crossing the Allegheny mountains 50 times in the process?
5x expanded by Gulbenk (talk). Self nominated at 17:52, 14 October 2013 (UTC).
- It was not expanded 5x. It is true that before Gulbenk expanded it, the article was poorly wikified, so a DYK check would not detect the lists in the lead and the reference section. However, even if those are removed, the remaining prose size is 7163 bytes and the size now is 26531 bytes. I do commend Gulbenk for a considerable improvement of the article. Note also that it has also be submitted for GA review, and if that passes it could be submitted for DYK again. RockMagnetist (talk) 01:33, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
