Overall: Good, well-constructed article that reads well and is packed with data. I look forward to reading more about its operational history in due course. I'm taking the references in good faith. If I'm honest, the hook citation doesn't actually say the French named the sub after Fulton, although that seems highly likely. If we can't find a more specific hook I'd go with ALT1 as it is slightly looser. In addition, I have a couple of questions. First, in talking about the refit ("Service" section) what do "at the kiosk" and "at Headquarters" mean? Second, in terms of its fate, is "stricken" a nautical term? I've not come across it before. Does it mean "scrapped"? Bermicourt (talk) 17:43, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
The periscope thing was a google translate error that I hadn't removed. Yes, "stricken" is a nautical term; it essentially means decommissioned. L293D (☎ • ✎) 20:46, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
Thanks, I'm content that this is good to go. Bermicourt (talk) 21:16, 4 November 2018 (UTC)
The article has been altered since this review was done and the hook will need to be changed to match the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:39, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
@Cwmhiraeth: if the problem was that the hook fact was no longer present in the article, that's fixed now. L293D (☎ • ✎) 13:56, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
@L293D: The basic problem is that the article mentions Fulton invented the "first practical submarine" but does not mention a steamboat, while the hook mentions a steamboat but not the submarine. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 14:15, 4 December 2018 (UTC)
this source said that Fulton invented the steamboat, but other sources disagree. Therefore, I'm proposing an other alt:
