article is new enough, long enough and within policy. QPQ is done. Hook needs to be reworked though. Maybe needs clarification that the prediction did in fact come true? But even then, he only started 5 games in the NFL. Hardly that unique that a coach predicted he would be a starter and that came true, unless the player thought he wouldn't make the team, coach predicted he would be a starter and then he went on to start 150 games, go to the Pro Bowl, etc. Maybe you could work in that he was actually waived, resigned and then became a starter? « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 02:47, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Gonzo fan2007: I was thinking that the unique part is that the player said on the record that his chances were slim, not just the coach's prediction alone. It's a dichotomy of confidence. I could also mention that he was a 12th round pick, but only NFL fans would get that nuance.—Bagumba (talk) 03:13, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- I am happy to hear a second opinion, but I just don't find it that interesting. Most players that are "on the fence" have had this type of comment made by a coach. Again, if he didn't think he was going to make it, then ended up starting 100 games, that would be a different story. It's not like he became a perennial starter (he started 5 games out of a possible 32 over two seasons). « Gonzo fan2007 (talk) @ 02:01, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

Maybe you could work in that he was actually waived, resigned and then became a starter?
