Forest Idyl

[edit]

Forest Idyl, in Brookgreen Gardens, South Carolina

  • ... that one of the four versions of Albin Polasek's sculpture Forest Idyl (pictured) bears the face of the artist's second wife, Emily?

Created/expanded by Amcoquillard (talk), Beefncheddar22 (talk), Acwright625 (talk), and Francejustin92 (talk). Nominated by The Interior (talk) at 22:05, 14 November 2012 (UTC)

  • The article is new enough and long enough and the image appropriately licensed but I am unable to find the hook fact in the reference given for that sentence (the second last in the article). Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:08, 27 November 2012 (UTC)
  • I've contacted the editor, as far as I can tell the hook fact must be in one of the offline sources. If we don't hear back soon, may have to fail this one. I'll try her prof as well. The Interior (Talk) 20:59, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
  • After some email back-and-forths it looks like the hook fact was anecdotal, based on a conversation with museum staff. I'll remove it for now and try to put together a new hook. The Interior (Talk) 20:00, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
  • ALT1 (which I have tweaked) is referenced and acceptable so this is now ready to go. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:00, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
