Fifehead Wood
[edit]- ... that in Fifehead Wood you might just catch a White Admiral with a captivating Purple Hairstreak cruising between a host of Five-faced Bishops?

- Expansion & date check out, though it remains around 2000 characters so further expansion would be nice! I have edited out some non-encyclopedic language, but further copy editing would be useful, particularly to standardise whether common names for species use capitals or not and to format the duplicated references. The hook is amusing, under the length limit, and appears to be supported, on the assumption that Five-faced Bishop is the same as Moschatel, as stated in the article Adoxa but not referenced either there or in Fifehead Wood. A reference is probably needed for this (though I'd be happy if it were added to Adoxa). Referencing is otherwise adequate. I didn't notice any copyright issues with online sources. - Cheers Espresso (boy, i need one after editing 24 hours+ solid!) I just added a ref at Adoxa. The mixing of capitals was a real issue in the creation, i kept changing it to look right, but in the end settled with the way they are displayed at their page (i.e. with no apparent overarching system). I totally agree, it leaves the article looking a tad messy, what would you suggest? i wouldn't want to upset the clinical sensibilities of the bioligists and co.. - Thanks. I don't think it matters which way you do the capitals as long as it's consistent in your article -- at least for all plants, or insects, or birds. Last I looked most Tree of Life WikiProjects tended to go with capitals for all common names of species, but I do think personally they look rather odd for eg bluebell (perhaps use Common Bluebell, if you go for caps?), and the WikiProject Plants says there is no current consensus on flora.
- The references could use some formatting -- there's one that looks to be duplicate but isn't (3 & 8), which could do with the subpage making clear, and all the Woodland Management ones would be clearer amalgamated into one just giving the page numbers as notes. But none of this is essential for DYK, so I think it's good to go. Espresso Addict (talk) 02:28, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
- Proper appreciate you lookin into the matter for me there, i'll keep pluggin away at the text and see what i can do about the capitals. Advanced source formatting is something i'll leave to the experts, it puzzles me still and i really really got to get some shut-eye! Hillbillyholiday talk 02:49, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
