Fidel Kuri Grajales
[edit]- ... that abandoned construction projects are the "hallmark" of Transmilenia, the construction company owned by Mexican federal deputy Fidel Kuri Grajales?
- ALT1:... that Fidel Kuri Grajales, a federal deputy, threatened to move the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz if the PRI lost gubernatorial elections?
- ALT2:... that Fidel Kuri Grajales, owner of the Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz, is the president of the Sports Commission of the Chamber of Deputies?
- Reviewed: Patrick Moraz
- Comment: Quite a few hook options for this guy, though I prefer ALT1.
5x expanded by Raymie (talk). Self-nominated at 07:49, 1 June 2016 (UTC).
- Expansion was from 1,825 characters to 7,342, which is only a four-fold expansion. For this to be eligible, you need to add an extra 1,800 characters or so. -Kieran (talk) 08:44, 19 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Kierano: The DYK check script, which I use, says "Assuming article is at 5x now, expansion began 6 edits ago on June 1, 2016" which is when I edited the article. I thought it was characters of readable prose? Or have the guidelines changed? Raymie (t • c) 19:01, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Raymie: My bad! It's been a while since I did a DYK review. Yes, looks like the prose started much smaller than I'd thought, and this article definitely qualifies. Otherwise, the prose is good and the references look solid (though I'm taking them somewhat on good faith since I don't speak much Spanish). I've made a few minor tweaks for grammar, wikilinks and clarity. Two things which could improve the article (though aren't necessary for this to move ahead): 1) If articles exist for the Veracruz legislatures, it would be great to wikilink to those. 2) Do you think you could find a photo for the infobox? If no free photo exists, one that satisfies WP:NFCC would work too. All in all great job! -Kieran (talk) 22:02, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
- I'll still respond...
- We lack articles on pretty much all the state legislatures in Mexico. Those would be a massive effort to do. There's a bigger priority: we are missing a lot of the earlier federal legislatures, as late as the 55th (1991-94). eswiki has a lot of the missing content for the federal legislatures that would need to be translated (it's primarily lists of federal deputies and senators). A massive stub effort a while back created hundreds of stubs for recent Mexican federal legislators up through the 62nd Legislature, but the 63rd (current) legislature does not have them. These stubs have been the basis of a bunch of my recent DYKs, like this one (as Kuri was in the 61st Legislature).
- I'm not having luck finding any free photos. Raymie (t • c) 23:16, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
