Fatma Hikmet İşmen
[edit]- ... that the attendees sang "The Internationale" at the funeral of female agricultural engineer, socialist politician and former senator Fatma Hikmet İşmen?
Source: "İşmen’in cenazesi Enternasyonal Marşı’yla kaldırılır" ((tr), "Fatma Hikmet İşmen; 1937 yılında ziraat mühendisi olarak mezun olur." (in Turkish), "Türkiye’nin tek sosyalist senatörü" (in Turkish) [1]

- Interesting life, on good-looking sources, mostly Turkish, accepted AGF. Hook: why Internationale first, then female, then many other things, then finally her name? I suggest you try it the other way round. There are so many things in her article, - do we really have to restrict her to her funeral and the reactions of others? - Article: I find the organization a bit confusing, with her autobiography about being a senator written before she was one. Can you think about something else, perhaps chronological? It seems tough to neatly divide her life as scientist, politician and woman, - it's one life ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:47, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt: Restructured the article, and reworded hook (ALT1) even though I could not understand the rationale. Please recheck. A notification of yours about the issue would help me much to respond earlier. CeeGee 11:04, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
- ALT1 ... that socialist politician Fatma Hikmet İşmen accused the Directorate of Religious Affairs of fueling the discrimination of Alawites by the Sunni Islam in her first speech in the senate? Source: [2] [3]
- Thank you, approving both. Keep it watched for what happens in prep. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 13:58, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
