Improved to Good Article status by Dr Salvus (talk). Self-nominated at 09:19, 28 July 2022 (UTC).
- Nice article on talented young footballer. Article is new enough (nominated within one day of promotion GA), lengthy, well sourced, and no copyvio issues with the text per Earwig. QPQ is done. So my main questions are: 1) Is the image now confirmed as OK to use per the OTRS ticket (as I believe it can't be used on the Main page unless it is)? 2) Regarding the hook: Google Translate says "Miretti, who comes out to applause" for "Miretti, che esce tra gli applausi", which doesn't seem exactly the same as a "standing ovation" (although I understand that it probably was a standing ovation in reality). Is there another source we could cite that confirms the "standing ovation" part accompanying the applause? Cielquiparle (talk) 23:36, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Cielquiparle, this cites "standing ovation". Regarding to the photo: it looks yes as the site had given the authorisation (have a look at the photo on Commons). Dr Salvus 23:58, 30 July 2022 (UTC)
- Dr Salvus: Great, thanks for the clarification on both points. One more request though: Could you please add and cite the new source that says "standing ovation" to the standing ovation mention within the article itself? Also... Looking at the hook again, I think it should be "received...from Juventus fans" instead of "by" so I've gone ahead and changed it above. Cielquiparle (talk) 08:55, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- OK, I went ahead and added the above citation to the actual article page, so I think we're good to go. For consideration by the DYK gods, I now propose this slightly simplified hook and but I think it's essentially the same thing (minus a few words) and you can choose whichever sounds better.
ALT0a ... that Fabio Miretti (pictured) received a standing ovation from Juventus fans after his Serie A debut as starter?
Thank you! Cielquiparle (talk) 09:53, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- I'll still use mine. Dr Salvus 10:08, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I can see how it's too simplistic. (I also wondered if there was a way to work in the 78th minute, but maybe it's too much detail.) Am striking my suggested ALT hook so there is no confusion from the DYK promoter. Cielquiparle (talk) 10:41, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
