Eurovision Song Contest 1990
- ... that the Eurovision Song Contest 1990, held in Yugoslavia, was the first Eurovision Song Contest to be held in the Balkans or in a socialist state? Source: "The Contest moved to Croatia’s capital of Zagreb and there was lots of excitement in the fact that it was the first time a Balkan country or a socialist state was hosting the Contest!"
- ALT1: ... that the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 was the first edition of the contest to have an official mascot? Source: "For the first time in the history of the Contest, Helga and Oliver were also joined by a mascot named Eurocat the purple, animated cat!"
- ALT2: ... that due to the participation of two artists aged 12 or under in the previous year's event the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 was the first edition of the contest to implement an age rule? Source: "The age rule had been established in time for the 1990 Eurovision Song Contest after the participation of a 12 year-old boy (Gili from Israel) and an 11 year-old girl (France’s Nathalie Pâque) raised the age question in the previous year. The new rules stated that 'the performers must be at least 16 years old in the year they compete.' "

Overall: Nominated for DYK within 7 days of GA status. Length is good, sourcing is good. The nominator has only made 15 nominations and thus does not meet the requirement for 2 QPQs, so it looks good to go. The hook on the DYK is interesting but I was hoping if there were another citation for it because the current hook uses a primary source. lullabying (talk) 23:06, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Lullabying: Thanks for the review! Additional citation can be found here: "The event was held on May 5 in the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, the first time on the Balkan Peninsula and in a, at least for a short time, socialist state." Happy to add this to the article itself if needed. Sims2aholic8 (talk) 23:14, 22 March 2024 (UTC)
