- Comment: Figured his unique alias would be help this be hooky. Open to other suggestions.

- New enough, long enough, well referenced, neutrally written. Unable to check for close paraphrasing as all sources are foreign-language. The first two hooks are so-so, but ALT2 is very good. I capitalized "Panthers" because you're not talking about an actual panther, and it is the name of the group. Foreign-language hook fact AGF and cited inline. Image is fair use. QPQ done. ALT2 good to go. Yoninah (talk) 21:53, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- @MX and Yoninah: If we are going to use ALT2, we need a referenced statement for his conviction for these offences. He was reported to be the assassination squad's faction's leader, but this being a BLP, that is insufficient. ALT1 would be OK. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:52, 29 February 2020 (UTC)
- considering the article doesn't use the phrase "Mexican Panther" at all, I don't think we could link to it in such a way. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 15:55, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- @Lee Vilenski: DYK allows for quirky hooks like these regularly. He's a Mexican and had an "Panther" alias. Both are cited and don't see the issue. But if this won't move forward, I'll pass for now since I'm busy writing other stuff. Cheers, MX (✉ • ✎) 14:59, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
