El Franco Lee
- ... that a park (pictured) was named after Harris County politician El Franco Lee while he was still in office? Source: Hall Road Park was revitalized and renamed El Franco Lee Park in 1990. In support of Commissioner Lee’s program to revitalize and enhance several park facilities within the South Belt, in 1990 communities in the area asked and received approval to have the Hall Road Park officially named El Franco Lee Park in honor of, and on behalf of his work and commitment to maintain and enhance the area’s green space and park facilities.
- ALT1:... that when El Franco Lee first ran for the Texas House of Representatives, he had to pay a $400 fee to remain on the ballot because his nominating petition did not have enough verifiable signatures? Source: "A state district judge ruled that El Franco Lee...may remain on the May 6 primary ballot by paying a $400 filing fee...Buch had deleted Lee's name on the grounds that Lee's nominating petition did not contain enough signatures from persons whose qualifications Buch could verify." Source: "Judge says ballot may include Lee". Houston Chronicle. March 30, 1978. p. 2.

- Comment: for ALT1, I found the source in the Houston Chronicle archives that I recently found out I have access to via Houston Public Library. If you would like to verify, I believe User:LizardJr8 has access as well so you could ask them.

- The article is new enough, long enough, and nominated timely. No copyvios are found. QPQ was done. The hooks are cited. I prefer ALT1 as more interesting; the citation is behind a paywall but AGF that the quote provided is accurate. The photo is not needed if ALT1 is used. Looks to me like this is Good To Go. -- MelanieN (talk) 23:59, 12 December 2020 (UTC)
