- Ehrlichia chaffeensis and Ehrlichia ewingii are species of bacteria, not diseases. Maybe you could say "...that the pathogens Ehrlichia chaffeensis and Ehrlichia ewingii were believed to be the only causes of the tick-borne disease ehrlichiosis... etc." or "...that the bacteria etc." -IceCreamAntisocial (talk) 10:08, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
