Lots of soldiers get killed in action somewhere, this is a less than compelling hook. Suggest the following:
  • Review needed for ALT1 hook, since original hook has been deemed inadequately interesting. BlueMoonset (talk) 00:33, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
    • I've verified ALT1 but strongly prefer the original hook. Yes, tens of thousands of British soldiers were killed on the Somme, but you can list the number of major generals on your fingers. Given the "chateau generalship" myth, the original hook is far more interesting and engaging. Hawkeye7 (talk) 06:18, 6 July 2013 (UTC)
