Edith Kanakaʻole
- ... that Edith Kanakaʻole's acceptance speech for a 1978 Na Hoku Hanohano Award was given entirely in the Hawaiian language? Source: Notable Women of Hawaii (offline source), p. 200: "Her two record albums [...] both won Na Hoku Hanohano (Stars of Distinction) awards for the best traditional album of the year in 1978 and 1979. It was typical that when she recieved the first of these two awards – the second was given posthumously – she gave her acceptance speech entirely in Hawaiian."

- I went ahead and did the copyvio check. The article is new enough. Since the hook source is offline, could you include a quotation from the book supporting your hook? I added wiki-links in some of the articles where she is mentioned. I didn't link if it was referring to the Hall or Stadium. Will wait on final approval for QPQ. - QuakerSquirrel, thanks for the review and for adding backlinks! A quotation and QPQ have been added above. ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 17:18, 17 June 2021 (UTC)
