EKS (satellite)

[edit]

Created/expanded by Secretlondon (talk). Self nom at 17:22, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Many things check out--length, date, etc. I'll have to accept the ref for the hook on good faith since my Russian is terrible. But there's a few (minor) things. I can't tell if you are exempt from the quid pro quo, that you review another DYK nomination, since I can't tell if you've had fewer than five DYKs. Also, copyedits need to be made: I've done a few of the notes (punctuation etc; see my edit summary) but there are more. And the last paragraph of the lead seems to be out of place--I think it fits better in the "Timeline" section, which perhaps should be renamed "History" then. Finally, the last two sentences of "System" need verification (that's one of the DYK rules for paragraphs), and I'm wondering if there isn't a better title for that section. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:17, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
  • One more thing: can you supply page numbers for the information/quotes from those two big PDFs? For "History and the Current Status" I guess it's not necessary, strictly speaking, but it makes navigating those huge files (and thus verifying the facts) easier. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:21, 9 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Thanks for your feedback. I am exempt from the 'quid pro quo ' as this is my second DYK, and my first self nom. I'll work on the other issues. Secretlondon (talk) 13:12, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
  • I hope this is fixed now. Secretlondon (talk) 17:01, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Yes--but now we still need a reference for the last sentence of "Timeline" (DYK rule...). Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:51, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Done! Thanks again for your help with this. Secretlondon (talk) 18:26, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
