Dick Johnson Is Dead
... that the plan to make a 2020 documentary film first came in the director's dream where a man said: "I’m Dick Johnson and I’m not dead yet"?Source: https://www.vulture.com/2020/01/dick-johnson-is-dead-documentary-kirsten-johnson-interview.html

- @CAPTAIN MEDUSA: do you have a QPQ for this nomination? Yoninah (talk) 22:27, 25 February 2020 (UTC)
- The article also needs a copyedit, starting with the first line. Yoninah (talk) 21:30, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yoninah, The QPQ is at Template:Did you know nominations/George Pechell Mends. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 16:55, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- @CAPTAIN MEDUSA: thank you. And what about the copyedit? Yoninah (talk) 23:11, 12 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yoninah, I have copy edited the lead. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 09:48, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
- OK, I have copyedited the article for you, and also added more information from the sources. I think you can do more with the hook, like:
- ALT1:
... that in Dick Johnson Is Dead, director Kirsten Johnson has her elderly father act out all the different ways—many of them violent—in which he could die?Yoninah (talk) 21:48, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- Yoninah, forgive my interruption, but the submitted QPQ is not a complete review, and this nomination should not be approved until all of the DYK criteria have been addressed in that review, not just the hook. (The article there has a number of bare URLs, so that's something that will need to be fixed.) BlueMoonset (talk) 22:28, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- @BlueMoonset: thank you for the notice. I'm actually trying to work out the hook with the nominator, and since I worked on both the article and hook, will then give it over to someone else to review. Yoninah (talk) 22:39, 14 March 2020 (UTC)
- ALT1 seems more interesting than ALT0. ~~ CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 17:09, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. QPQ has been done. Nomination is ready for a full review with ALT1. Yoninah (talk) 17:45, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- This article is new enough and long enough. The ALT1 hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been started but awaits completion, and I have added Yoninah to the credits. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:50, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
- I came to promote this and while it's an interesting article, there are two points regarding ALT1 that need to be addressed: first, "act out all the ways" is an exaggeration, because no film can be exhaustive in that manner, and the sourcing doesn't support "all" (the word "series" is used in the Plot section and the first source), and second, because while "many of them violent" is in the lede, it's unsourced, and the Plot section (which covers this in the body and is sourced) doesn't give "many" or an equivalent quantifier, but gives two examples. Yoninah, if you can address these issues and then Cwmhiraeth recheck them, I'll be happy to return to promote the hook. Please ping me when it has been reticked. Thanks. - I have edited the article according to the sources. Here is an alt:
- ALT2: ... that in Dick Johnson Is Dead, film director Kirsten Johnson has her elderly father act out different ways—some of them violent "accidents"—in which he could die?
- Pinging Cwmhiraeth for a re-review. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 14:06, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
- Approving ALT2. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 17:24, 12 April 2020 (UTC)
