General: Article is new enough and long enough |
---|
Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing: - The only sourcing issue I had was that his 400m personal best (listed in the infobox) is not cited anywhere in the article, from what I can see.
- Neutral:
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:
Hook eligibility:
- Cited:
- Interesting:
- Other problems: - I prefer ALT0, but there are a few things that could improve it. "American" here is technically incorrect as there is at least one non-American institution (Simon Fraser University) that is an NCAA member that I am aware of. I would also consider mentioning the university that he competed at during the time that he won the award.
QPQ: Done. |
Overall: Article is long enough and RPS was expanded 5x in the last few days. QPQ has been done and Earwig looks good. Only a minor sourcing issue and a few things with the hook. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 17:51, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- PCN02WPS I have added source for personal best (and also height and weight in infobox, as they looked not to be sourced). As for the hook, I didn't realise that NCAA also had Canadian colleges, so happy to either drop American or change it to North American (as not everyone will know what NCAA is, and there's a similarly named organisation in the Phillipines). Will also add university to hook:
- ALT2 ... that in 2014, Trinidadian sprinter Deon Lendore won the highest award in National Collegiate Athletic Association track and field whilst at Texas A&M University?
- ALT3 ... that in 2014, Trinidadian sprinter Deon Lendore won the highest award in North American National Collegiate Athletic Association track and field whilst at Texas A&M University?
- Are ALT2 or ALT3 better in your opinion? Joseph2302 (talk) 09:22, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
- I personally prefer ALT2, since "National Collegiate Athletic Association" without a qualifier or disambiguation targets the North American organization (which is the larger one anyways). For that reason, plus the link to the organization and the mention of Texas A&M, I personally think that enough information is given. Either one would be perfectly fine, though, so I'll give this a tick with preference for ALT2 with ALT3 as a second choice if that doesn't work. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 19:23, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
