- I'm a big baseball fan, and I was unaware of this trophy. The article is new, long enough, reliably sourced (citations in every paragraph), and appears to be free of copyright infringement or paraphrasing. This is the nominator's first DYK nom, so no QPQ is required. Of the above hooks, I think I prefer ALT1, but I also think the hook might be served by explicitly stating this is baseball related, for those who don't know what the World Series is. – Muboshgu (talk) 19:46, 5 March 2015 (UTC)
