Dan Casey
[edit]- ... that Dan Casey (pictured) has been reported by some to have been the inspiration for the poem "Casey at the Bat"?
- Reviewed: The Boat Race of 1989
5x expanded by Cbl62 (talk). Self nominated at 16:28, 25 July 2014 (UTC).
- To avoid the Charley Horse issue, howzabout
- ALT1 ... that in later life, baseball player Dan Casey (pictured) claimed he was "Casey at the Bat"?
(and I think it's punchier). EEng (talk) 03:13, 26 July 2014 (UTC)
- Full review needed. The linking of additional terms in a hook is optional, with various contributors having strong feelings one way or another. (Some feel that obscure terms should be linked for context.) ALT1 is more effective, with or without link. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:13, 12 August 2014 (UTC)
- ALT1 verified. Hook is suitable in length, verified, and is interesting. Article was well over 5x expansion at time of nomination. Article is within policy, QPQ is done, and image has no copyright concerns. IronGargoyle (talk) 22:57, 18 August 2014 (UTC)
