Czech presidential election, 2013
[edit]- ... that in 2013, the Czech Republic will directly elect its president for the first time in its history?

- The article is not ready for DYK in its current state. Prose size is at 1297 characters (well less than the 1500 minimum). The hook fact doesn't have any inline citation at all. Plus it needs some copyediting and grammar check. Also, the article's title need to be in bold in the first sentence in the lead. Yazan (talk) 13:47, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, I didn't realize it was under the minimum, I suppose that was cause of the table/list aren't obviously prose. So I brought it up over 2000 characters of prose today, plus several additional references, and the bolding. I've also added an alternative hook, though its difficult to say exactly who is really running for the office at the moment.-- Patrick, oѺ∞ 23:10, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
ALT 1 ... that in 2013, the Czech Republic will directly elect its president for the first time in its history, and over a dozen individuals are now running?
- per BOLDTITLE, they dont have to be in bold in the leadLihaas (talk) 10:24, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- Mea culpa on the bold titles. Article length now is very good, and the sources look good. There are two minor issues still though: a) the article has 2 citation needed tags, and a 1 weasel word tag; these should ne dealt with. b) I think the original hook is hookier, and more importantly is sourced concretely in the article. ALT1 seems too speculative (with regards to the number of candidates) because the article states that 20 people expressed intention, lists 14 people who have registered officially, so the information is a bit confusing and could become outdated any minute. Let alone the fact that it's not all that interesting; the interesting part is that it's the first time they hold direct elections for president. At any rate, once the minor issue of reference tags is dealt with, this should be good to go. Yazan (talk) 12:08, 22 September 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, article should be good now. The number 20 is also already out of date, so ALT1 was just an option to show how crowded the field has become.-- Patrick, oѺ∞ 17:35, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- This removes a which tag without reason and adds unsourced infoLihaas (talk) 20:16, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
- Article still has a weasel word tag. Once you guys can resolve that, I can approve it. Yazan (talk) 04:58, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- Color me confused by this. I took out the Template:Which tag when I added a sentence about the ČSSD, who are the main opposition party that supported the direct elections, but then User:Lihaas just added it back in. I posted on the user's talk page about it, so hopefully we can get it sorted and still have the article on DYK.-- Patrick, oѺ∞ 16:06, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
