Construction of Rockefeller Center

- Article looks good, if rather lengthy, and was promoted to GA on 4 February. AGF on offline sources. Would suggest "... that at the time of the construction of Rockefeller Center, it was the largest private development project ever undertaken?" QPQ is still needed. - Thanks for the review. I will do a QPQ soon. I would also go with your hook, which I'll call ALT3 for the sake of convenience. epicgenius (talk) 17:44, 5 February 2018 (UTC)
- I did a review. epicgenius (talk) 21:10, 5 February 2018 (UTC)

- @Epicgenius: you have so many amazing free images in this article, and so much detailed material, can't you come up with an eye-catching lead hook? Yoninah (talk) 23:41, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah and The ed17: How do these hooks sound? I added a picture. epicgenius (talk) 02:14, 8 February 2018 (UTC)

... that after several property owners refused to leave their houses during the construction of Rockefeller Center (pictured), workers simply built around these properties?Source: Okrent 2003, pp. 93–94, although this image says it all.
- Thanks, Epicgenius, ALT5 and ALT6 are great. Yoninah (talk) 12:17, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Which one would you prefer? I personally like ALT6 more. Incidentally, I have amended it to remove "the" from before "Rockefeller Center". The page was renamed following an RM because there is no "the" before "Rockefeller Center". epicgenius (talk) 02:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Epicgenius: ALT6 is fine with me. I would prefer to see more detail in the hook, such as how many blocks the complex took over, the number of properties that were taken over, or better, the 4,000 tenants that were evicted to build this thing, but if you're happy with ALT6, I'll approve it. Yoninah (talk) 14:02, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: How about these:
- ALT7: ... that in preparation for the construction of Rockefeller Center (pictured) in Midtown Manhattan, 4,000 tenants were evicted from 228 properties?Source: Okrent 2003, pp. 93–94
- ALT8:
... that properties with an estimated overall value of $81 billion were demolished for the construction of Rockefeller Center (pictured)?Source: NY Times
- But if not, we can just go with ALT6. epicgenius (talk) 14:12, 9 February 2018 (UTC)
