Congo Crisis

[edit]
  • Reviewed: Not a self-nomination

Improved to Good Article status by Brigade Piron (talk). Nominated by Oceanh (talk) at 21:09, 9 August 2014 (UTC).

  • Article is long enough (>66,000 characters) and satisfies recency requirement by being promoted to Good Article status on August 3. In my read-through, I did not detect bias in the presentation. The hook is short enough and interesting, at least to me. Some of the sources cited for the hook fact are scholarly journals that I can't access. I assume good faith as to those sources, but I've also found sources (e.g., this one) confirming the sequence of events referenced in the hook. Although this is very long article with some sources that are not accessible, my spot-check did not find unduly close paraphrasing, copyright violation or plagiarism. Also, the Good Article review (unlike some) appears to have been quite thorough. QPQ not required as this is not a self-nomination. This is very impressive work that can be displayed with pride on Wikipedia's main page. Cbl62 (talk) 00:09, 11 August 2014 (UTC)
