Closing note: Five days have past and the article has only been expanded to ~13kB, still short of the required ~38.4kB. Even if more time was given, I cannot envision how the article can be expanded to that size.
Cold air damming
[edit]- ... that cold air damming is responsible for some the lousy weather that persists next to north-south mountain chains?

- Insufficient recent expansion. Nominated article contained 7683 characters of readable text on September 18.
