Club Cumming
- ... that Alan Cumming started a nightclub in his dressing room? Source: "'Club Cumming started in my dressing room because I wanted the party to come to me,' the actor says about the bar that he opened two years ago." ([1])
- ALT1:... that Club Cumming was founded backstage on Broadway? Source: "When Alan Cumming reprised his role of M.C. in the 2014 Broadway production of 'Cabaret,' he kept the party going offstage, hosting impromptu gatherings in his dressing room. He called it 'Club Cumming' and had a neon sign made for the soiree." ([2])

- This article is new enough and long enough. The article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Although the hook facts are supported by the NY Times quote given above, I don't find that either of the hooks is borne out by what is actually stated in the article. If you amend the article to include this information, I should be able to approve this nomination. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 06:19, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Cwmhiraeth, and thanks for the review! Could you clarify what exactly you're looking for in the article?
- The History section currently contains a couple of sentences reflecting the info in the hooks, namely:
He [Cumming] named the bar after the parties he used to hold in his dressing room while appearing in Cabaret on Broadway. The neon sign bearing the club's name, which now hangs above its stage, is from that dressing room.
This info explains where the club came from and is sourced by the NY Times article and a couple others. What would you like to be added? Thanks, Armadillopteryxtalk 06:38, 23 June 2020 (UTC)- Ask yourself this question "Did Cumming start a nightclub in his dressing room?"; the answer is clearly "No, he did not". There is too much of a disconnect between the proposed hooks and the reality, as expressed in the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:33, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
- Cwmhiraeth, I've made some changes per your comments. Armadillopteryxtalk 13:33, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
