Clay Hopper
[edit]- ... that Clay Hopper, Jackie Robinson's first manager in organized baseball, asked Branch Rickey to assign Robinson to a different team?

- Comment: Timely, with the release of 42 (film) this past Friday. That's how I first heard about this individual. Hook help appreciated.

- Article checks out. Sources reliable, without close paraphrasing. Indeed 5x expanded within the timeframe. The only thing I'm concerned about is that Hopper's birth and death are not cited. If that is fixed, I can probably switch this to {{DYKtick}}.—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 11:06, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- This is the first time I've been asked to cite a birth and death date. I honestly don't see the need since it isn't controversial information. It is contained in a reliable source used as an externa link on the page. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:17, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- It can also be found here. I'll just add a citation anyway to make this easy. – Muboshgu (talk) 14:19, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- Everything should have a source, not just controversial information. But I'll quit complaining, since it looks excellent now!—♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 15:50, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not sure that's the case. Wikipedia:Citing sources talks about citing quotes and controversial information. Anyhow, I'd rather have a thorough review than a lackadaisical one. Thanks! – Muboshgu (talk) 17:36, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
