Charles M. Strauss
[edit]... that Tucson, Arizona Territory Mayor Charles M. Strauss resigned not because he was under indictment but because the city council overturned his veto?
- ALT1:... that after Charles M. Strauss won election as Arizona Territory's Superintendent of Public Instruction, the territorial legislature changed the office from an elected to appointed position?

- @Allen3: New enough, long enough, QPQ done, no copyvio issues detected. However, I do have one small recommendation: I would remove the "resigned not because he was under indictment" part from the hook, because that part isn't as clearly cited in the article. In my opinion, the hook is just as interesting without it. --Biblioworm 01:01, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
- ALT2: ... that Tucson, Arizona Territory Mayor Charles M. Strauss resigned because the city council overturned his veto?
- Biblioworm has already reviewed this nomination and I am confirming this. Going with ALT1 or ALT2, both of which are well cited. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:52, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
