[edit]- ...
that Carolina Benedicks-Bruce (pictured) made a yawning and worked on a seduced?
- ALT1:...
that Carolina Benedicks-Bruce (pictured) made busts of several noted men? - Reviewed: Lixia Zhang
- Comment: Article split of from William Blair Bruce to a new draft. Moved from draft to main on 28 August 2015. Also providing a more closely cropped version of the pic if that is better for the small size pic. Plus 'pinging' @Montanabw: since they had expressed an interest in maybe doing this review. w.carter-Talk 20:26, 28 August 2015 (UTC)
- ALT1:...
Created by W.carter (talk). Self-nominated at 20:26, 28 August 2015 (UTC).
- Length and age acceptable, no obvious copyright/plagiarism issues, all images are either PD or have acceptable licencing. QPQ checks out. The first hook is oddly worded, the second is much better. The hook itself is cited to a page in the Swedish language, AGF that it says what it is supposed to say. Lankiveil (speak to me) 06:39, 29 August 2015 (UTC).
- I have pulled this from prep 4 as neither of the hooks are appropriate IMO. The first hook is nonsensical, while the second is uninteresting - there is nothing at all unusual about a sculptor making "busts of several noted men" - so a new hook will be required. - ALT2:... that sculptor Carolina Benedicks-Bruce (pictured) was called a Swedish "Mrs. Pankhurst"? Fuebaey (talk) 02:10, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry for the late reply, I've been away. Also apologies for the hooks, they were lame attempts to play with words, ALT2 that was graciously suggested by Fuebaey sounds good. I will also add another just to give the promoter something to choose from.
- ALT3:...
that sculptor Carolina Benedicks-Bruce (pictured) helped establishing the Swedish Women's Voluntary Defence Service?Best, w.carter-Talk 10:11, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
- ALT3:...
- Unfortunately, I am unable to verify either ALT2 or ALT3 because I don't understand Swedish. A Swedish speaker will have to verify one or both of these hooks. Gatoclass (talk) 07:08, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
- @Gatoclass: Is there any special reason why the AGF tick, that is supposed to be used when sources are offline or in a language other than English, can not be used here? I've had a lot of DYKs with Swedish sources where it has been used, the DYK passed and promoted. New rules? WP tired of articles about Swedish things? Blood moon last night (at least in Sweden)? Anyway, I'm 'pinging' @BabbaQ: to see if they can help us out here. w.carter-Talk 08:51, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
- W.carter, I could AGF that "lottakar" means "Swedish Womens Voluntary Defence Service" but then I'd be doing that solely on the say-so of the nominator and that doesn't strike me as a workable approach to reviewing. So I think I'm entitled to confirmation from a knowledgeable third party. I have already requested a check of the above alts from Wikiproject Sweden, so hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer. Gatoclass (talk) 12:01, 28 September 2015 (UTC)
