Carlshof Institutions
- ... that the 20 July plot casualties were treated in the former Carlshof Institutions? Source: "Sie alle wurden in das Lazarett Karlshof bei Rastenburg gebracht" ([1])
- Reviewed: The Holocaust in Bohemia and Moravia (book)
- Comment: I suggest to publish it on DYK on July 20, the anniversary of the plot
Created by HerkusMonte (talk). Self-nominated at 12:00, 26 June 2020 (UTC).
- Article is long enough (4553 characters), new enough (created 26 June, nominated same day), and article is within policy
- Hook is short enough, interesting, well-cited (AGF on German source), and appropriate for 20 July
- File:Bundesarchiv Bild 146-1969-069-29, Hitler-Attentat vom 20. Juli 1944.jpg is freely licenced (by the German Government archive), is used in the article, and looks good at low resolution
- QPQ done
- Overall, this nomination passes, congratulations. I will post at WT:DYK to try and get it in the DYK prep areas for the 20th July (as it's only 6 days away). Joseph2302 (talk) 17:38, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this, but wouldn't it be hookier to say that Hitler and members of his staff who survived the July 20 plot were treated here? Yoninah (talk) 18:08, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- Alt0a: ... that survivors of a plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler were treated in the former Carlshof Institutions?
- For your consideration Yoninah. The Squirrel Conspiracy (talk) 19:26, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks, The Squirrel Conspiracy. But now readers who might know the July 20 plot might not know what this is referring to. Meanwhile, the article has a picture of Hitler's skull! Isn't this more hooky:
- ALT0b: ... that Adolf Hitler and members of his staff who survived the 20 July plot to assassinate him were treated in the former Carlshof Institutions? Yoninah (talk) 20:40, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
- I always try to keep it (too?) short, ALT0b seems perfectly fine to me. I thought about the skull picture but it's not directly related to the 20 July plot, thus if we make it to the July 20 DYK I would prefer the current pic. HerkusMonte (talk) 09:32, 15 July 2020 (UTC)
