Capital City Fire/Rescue
[edit]- ... that Capital City Fire/Rescue, founded in 1899 in Juneau, Alaska, used a bell on the downtown waterfront as its first fire alarm?

*QPQ not needed as only 5th DYK. Mjroots (talk) 17:30, 16 April 2015 (UTC)
- Michaelh2001, I'm afraid that a QPQ will be required. Mjroots, as Michaelh2001's talk page clearly shows five prior DYK articles being posted on the main page—all you have to do is look and see all five messages—he has to supply a QPQ. Tools like the one you used aren't always accurate in counting all the DYKs. Generally, if it shows at least five, you know that a QPQ is required; if it shows fewer, it's best to check the talk page for confirmation. BlueMoonset (talk) 19:01, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
- Comment I will be happy to provide a QPQ here, but for future reference, isn't that required for the sixth? The first five being freebies? Juneau Mike (talk) 01:56, 20 April 2015 (UTC)
- Juneau Mike, precisely. There is no QPQ required for the first five articles to be approved for the main page (though we always welcome reviews). As this is your sixth article, a QPQ is required. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:57, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- I dropped the ball here. Waited too long for QPQ, and had to move the page in the meantime. Recommend my nom be turned down. I'll do better next time. :/ Juneau Mike (talk) 06:52, 28 April 2015 (UTC)
- @Michaelh2001: Without looking at the article, it looks like the nom just needs a QPQ. Would you care to complete one so this can move on? Fuebaey (talk) 06:59, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
