Cabaret des Quat'z'Arts
[edit]( )
- ... that the objects placed on Le Mur ("The Wall") of Cabaret des Quat'z'Arts (pictured) were meant to be seen rather than to be read?
Created by Rosiestep (talk). Self nominated at 20:24, 2 September 2013 (UTC).
- Rosiestep, you have a nude dancer in Whiting 53-54, but it's not in the article? Drmies (talk) 03:41, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

- OK, Bru and Thacker p. 57 have it too: your joint is named for one specific ball, 9 February 1893, when those dastardly students from the Beaux-Arts Academy had living paintings with naked (or nude, or nekkid) women in them. And there was a lawsuit! Whiting 53 only mentions one nude dancer. Anyway, , of course. Nice. (Everything checks out, though I made a few tweaks to the Le Mur section.) - [What I'm also saying is that your hook is, well, great, but nude dancers and arrests are nice too. Drmies (talk) 04:06, 3 September 2013 (UTC)]
- Whoa; I guess I missed all that! So in the meantime, I've expanded the article, and here's ALT1: ... that the Cabaret des Quat'z'Arts (pictured) was named after an 1893 costume ball at the Moulin Rouge which included naked women as living paintings? --Rosiestep (talk) 03:44, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- Ha, trust me not to miss that. Can you tell I'm happily married? Ten years now. Drinking, nudity, and a lawsuit--that's the holy trinity of any Unforgettable Party. Anyway, hook is approved, a few minor edits are made. I just saw that you reviewed Der Busant, that I've been working on with User:Crisco 1492--don't tell User:BlueMoonset or they'll suspect collusion or even socking. Good to go!
