Buster & Chauncey's Silent Night
[edit]( )
- ... that Buster & Chauncey's Silent Night starred Phil Hartman in one of his final acting roles?
- Comment: This came very close to being article #4,000,000...but I was off by one minute and seventeen articles. Otherwise, we'll see how far we can take it to GA. --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 19:43, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

- Also, in honour of Christmas in July, how about selecting it for the 25th (next Wednesday)? --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 19:55, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Creation time fine, overall sourcing fine, accepting offline source in good faith. Spotchecks revealed nothing. Hook reasonably interesting, of right length. No BLP issue, and besides is not negative. Does the nominator require a QPQ? That's the only thing left to check though (the nominator has a lot of contributions, although I couldn't see a record of other DYKs). Grandiose (me, talk, contribs) 10:22, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, QPQ is needed. Slgrandson has 14 DYK credits: User:Slgrandson/Article accolades Cmprince (talk) 18:12, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
- Sigrandson has not made an edit on Wikipedia since posting the comment above on 17 July. Not sure how long we're expected to wait for a QPQ, but another seven days would seem ample: a notification was left on his talk page about issues with the nomination on 22 July. - I see that Slgrandson has Wiki email enabled, so I've tried to contact the editor that way. Schwede66 05:51, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. Saw your message on Y! Mail right this minute. I apologise, but my advance preparations for the upcoming NaNoWriMo, and an OSM overhaul of my homeland, have resulted in my prolonged absence, both here and on Kindle Boards. So what's left here? --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 22:21, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- I already have. --Slgrandson (How's my egg-throwing coleslaw?) 21:59, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- No one should ever give the approval tick for their own nomination. (If you just meant to indicate that you had done the requested QPQ, please don't use that particular symbol, which in DYK indicates the review is approved.) It's up the reviewer to make sure the QPQ has indeed been done and is satisfactory, and to give that final approval. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:26, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- What SIgrandson meant was in fact not "I already have" but "I've just done one". It is done, although someone else should make the call on whether a month has been too long a wait for a trivial issue that could and should have been done upon nomination.
