Burundi women's national football team
[edit]( )
- ... that with only 445 women players in 2006 Burundi and Burundi women's national football team never playing a FIFA recognised match, the country has an under-20 women's national team?

- The hook and lead mentions 445, however later in the article (and in the cited work) this figure is actually 455. The article itself is otherwise okay, with no plagiarism concerns and well-referenced material. The hook is currently factually incorrect (same issue as mentioned above), but other than this I also feel it is unwieldy. Perhaps "in Burundi in 2006" would be a better wording, as well as later "never having played" instead of "never playing". Alternatively you could completely reword the hook. QPQ has been completed.
- To summarise: the number 445 does not match the reference and needs to be corrected; the same applies to the article lead. Also the hook should probably be changed as it does not currently roll off the tongue.
Finally the "new enough" requirement states five days, however this article was nominated on 19 April and created on 13 April, in excess of this requirement. It's not a problem for me personally, but I would like confirmation from another user that this is new enough.Cloudz679 12:28, 21 April 2012 (UTC)- It is new enough. The article was moved from user space on April 19. "06:45, 19 April 2012 (LauraHale moved page User:LauraHale/Burundi women's national football team to Burundi women's national football team)". If the number is changed, I agree that the hook needs to be reworded. SL93 (talk) 14:43, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
- ALT1: ... that with few registered women's players in Burundi and Burundi women's national football team playing no FIFA recognised match, the country has an under-20 women's national team?
- Proposed alt. Checked source two again:
Number of registered female football players Registered youth (U-18) Registered adults (18 and over) Total registered 275 180 455
Growth of women’s football Year Players* 2000 150 2001 248 2002 2003 2004 352 2005 370 2006 455
- Total registered female (adult and youth) players
- The lead was obviously a typo then, especially since the source supported the number in the hook. Thank you for fixing this typo.--LauraHale (talk) 21:10, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Awaiting accuracy check from nom on the hook. Cloudz679 21:42, 25 April 2012 (UTC)
- The term "women's players" is no longer in the article. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:23, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- Both hooks fail accuracy guidelines, nominator has been informed but seems to have abandoned this nomination after 12 days since the last comment despite a request for check. Cloudz679 20:28, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- The original hook has "women players" which is grammatically acceptable. Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:27, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- The original hook is not valid because the number is incorrect, as was discussed above. Cloudz679 05:49, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
- That's certainly not a reason to outright reject it, when this requires all of five seconds to rewrite in a grammatically correct form.
