Brownie Lake
- ... that the surface area of Minneapolis's Brownie Lake (pictured) shrank 34% when a railroad embankment was built and another 56% when the lake was connected to nearby Cedar Lake? Source: "Construction of a railroad embankment in 1883 caused a decrease in lake surface area of 34%, transforming the lake formerly known as Hillside Harbor. In 1916, the connection between Cedar and Brownie Lakes was completed further decreasing the surface area of the lake by another 56%." (Ref 4)

- Hi, I came by to promote this, but an inline cite is needed for the ALT1 hook fact (I tagged the sentence that talks about the surface and bottom layers not intermixing), and another paragraph needs a cite per Rule D2. Yoninah (talk) 18:05, 10 December 2019 (UTC)
