  • Article looks fine to me. New enough, long enough, decently written, well laid-out and accompanied by some good illustrations. AGF on the German-language sources. This is good to go. Prioryman (talk) 10:02, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
  • Comment: Please keep this off the queue for a while; we're trying to move the article from Castle Bothmer article heading to the more fitting Schloss Bothmer presently. I'm sorry for the confusion but I'll post a comment here when it's been moved and appropriate changes have been made in the article. Yakikaki (talk) 22:04, 22 July 2015 (UTC)
  • The article has been moved from "Bothmer Castle" to "Schloss Bothmer" now; I made a change in the link to the article name in the hook as well. Yakikaki (talk) 16:01, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
  • This image has quite a bit of lawn and sky. Would it be possible to crop it so it appears more clearly at small sizes? ~ RobTalk 16:57, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
  • There are several more closely cropped pics of the castle in Commons. Why not use one of those just for the DYK if that is an issue? The original pic looks great in the article, would be a shame to ruin that there. The article is about the entire estate (including lawns) not just the main building. w.carter-Talk 15:51, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
  • There's no need to change the image in the article; if you were to upload a cropped version of this image, that would be sufficient. The image would meet the "appears in article" criteria by virtue of being a crop of an image in the article, in my opinion. ~ RobTalk 21:59, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Since I know that the nominator is often very busy IRL, I'm poking my nose here, providing you with a cropped version of the main pic for the DYK just to get this show on the road. I have done a lot of photographing for the nominator on other articles, so I don't think they will mind. Cheers, w.carter-Talk 11:16, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

  • That crop is quite good. Thanks for your help, W.carter. Good to go, and I strongly recommend running this with the image. ~ RobTalk 11:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Perhaps I am the only one but I prefer the uncropped image, showing formal garden and atmosphere, - both sizes won't show details of architecture anyway, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:34, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Don't look at me Gerda , :) I just provided the cropped version to get this DYK moving. My personal taste had nothing to do with it. It is up to the promoter to decide. w.carter-Talk 09:39, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
  • Personally, I don't think the first image fits the criteria of appearing well at small sizes, especially if you consider it from an accessibility standpoint. The first image attempts to show more things but all of them come out too small, whereas the second at least shows one thing reasonably well. You can make out a lot more in the architecture than you can in the first. Up to the prep builder which they use, I suppose. ~ RobTalk 10:40, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
  • I only mentioned my personal preference, not looking at anybody ;) - Thanks for the effort of cropping, and thanks for having this moved to a good name, to all who made that happen! - A schloss is more than its architecture ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:00, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
