Bob Brown (newspaper publisher), Valley Times (North Las Vegas)
[edit]( Back to T:TDYK )
( Article history links: )
- ... that newspaper publisher Bob Brown became involved with the mob in order to keep the Valley Times in business?
- Reviewed: Rogue Beard Beer, Clement of Llanthony
- Comment: Not a BLP and the involvement was by Brown's own admission so I'd think this should be OK for the mainpage

- I'm new to reviewing, but will point out a few things I've noticed in this article. There are 3230 characters of readable prose. The article has not been expanded 5 times. The text contains some typos, including no year on the date Brown purchased the Valley Times. The hook is referenced in the body of the article. The information provided for the source "Change in the American West" seems incomplete (no date, publisher, ISBN, etc). I'll leave it to other reviewers to say whether this page should be nominated or not. SojoQ (talk) 11:27, 24 April 2015 (UTC)
- The articles are both newly created and are long enough and new enough. The hook fact has an inline citation in one article and is fully referenced in the other. The articles seem neutral and I detected no policy issues. I did a little copyediting to clear up some typos but the other points mentioned by SojoQ are outside the scope of DYK. Good to go.
