Black Squirrel Creek Bridge
[edit]- ... that the Black Squirrel Creek Bridge (pictured) was demolished a little under ten years after it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places?

- Comment: A hook could be possible with the tale of the chain gang or WWII prisoners, but I'm not the most comfortable with that

- Expansion, length and refs are fine. I did look at the prisoners issue and I see its widely reported but this appears closer to the truth. Having an eyewitness account reported as in this report with some measure of judgement convinces me that there were cells (and probably prisoners) - but the WWII link looks unproven. Given that the hook is the weak point of this nom then it might be worth writing an alt. The other angle is that it was offered for free ... but no one wanted it Victuallers (talk) 11:29, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
