- Neither of these hooks are all too interesting, in my opinion. Is there anything else we can use? Anarchyte (talk) 09:26, 9 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Anarchyte: No and please explain to me how White being the longest serving woman in the Utah House of Representatives isn't interesting. Jon698 (talk) 00:40, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Jon698: ALT0 is a plain X was Y hook. I'm sure someone that was in politics for 20 years has something more interesting to tell the world than their just age. For instance, the article states "she would at times be the only female chair of a committee". If the intent is to draw attention to the gender disparity in politics, this is more hooky and interesting to a non-American audience. Anarchyte (talk) 04:03, 11 June 2021 (UTC)
- @Anarchyte: How about this? ALT2: ... that despite Beverly White's earlier opposition to abortion she represented Planned Parenthood at the World Conference on Women, 1995? Jon698 (talk) 21:59, 14 June 2021 (UTC)
