Betty Knox
[edit]- ... that eccentric dancer Betty Knox of Wilson, Keppel and Betty later became a war correspondent and reported on the Nuremberg trials? [1]

- A generally well-written and well-referenced article, but I don't know about using the word "eccentric" which does not seem to appear anywhere in the article... Also sentences like "Her columns were peppered with humorous anecdotes and American slang, and frequently poked fun at the inability of the British to make a proper cup of coffee." need to be sourced. Other than that QPQ has been done, the hook is certainly interesting and no copyvio detected per Earwig. Kingoflettuce (talk) 08:55, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. The word "eccentric" comes from the description on the article Wilson, Keppel and Betty. I have added an off-line source for the section you query. Jack1956 (talk) 15:00, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
- OK, in which case I'll be happy to pass this , assuming good faith on the offline sources. any idea why the images are not PD btw? Kingoflettuce (talk) 17:04, 27 May 2018 (UTC)
- I think Eccentric dancer should be linked in the hook, since it is a real thing and not just a quote from a source. But then we'd be embarking on a sea of blue links. Could we leave out mentioning Wilson, Keppel and Betty? Yoninah (talk) 23:20, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- I would rather leave Wilson, Keppel and Betty in the hook as that is the act she performed in for many years as the first Betty and for which she is known. Thanks. Jack1956 (talk) 06:00, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
- OK. But eccentric dancer really has to be linked, or else it looks like we're saying Knox is eccentric. I unlinked war correspondent; hope that helps. Restoring tick per Kingoflettuce's review. Yoninah (talk) 22:06, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
