Berthold Possemeyer
[edit]... that baritone Berthold Possemeyer was a soloist at the Mainz Cathedral in the premiere of Volker David Kirchner's Passion music Aus den 53 Tagen?
- Reviewed: Polish postmodernism
- Comment: Good Friday 29 April if possible, - sorry that it's late, I found the info just now
Created by Dr. Blofeld (talk), Gerda Arendt (talk). Nominated by Gerda Arendt (talk) at 23:51, 26 March 2013 (UTC).
- Created within 5 days of nomination, easily long enough, no BLP (or other) policy violations, but it needed to have a
{{BLP}}
tag on the talkpage (I've added one myself). No copyvios found. I've some slight issues with the verifiability of the information cited to reference 1 (quite a lot of it), since this is merely a listing of Possemeyer's name (which just links to the University's main webpage, and doesn't appear to say any more about him). Hook is accurate, cited (although not as brilliantly as might be desirable) and neutral, but I have to say, not especially interesting - difficult to find a suitably engaging ALT since the article is mostly just a prose list of performances. If the information about his father being a baker can be verified, perhaps ALT1 "...that operatic baritone Berthold Possemeyer was the son of a baker" might be marginally more clickable. QPQ done, no image. Yunshui 雲水 10:46, 28 March 2013 (UTC)- Thanks for looking! As there is no chance to get this in by tomorrow, I will look for a different hook anyway, please give me some time. - On the University's page, you can click on the name for more, at least I can. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:12, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- No rush. I get this: http://www.hfmdk-frankfurt.info/startseite.html?no_cache=1&tx_mnmportrait_pi1[uid]=1460 from clicking Possemeyer's university listing - as far as I can tell (my German's atrocious) it's the main site for the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, and doesn't seem to say anything about Possemeyer. What's the URL you end up with? Yunshui 雲水 11:51, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Try via Google, - we need to replace the "[]" in the url, I will see if I can get help for that. - Thanks for pointing it out. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:18, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- Ah yes - got it now. Shame Wikipedia doesn't allow shortened URLs, that would make for an easy fix. Yunshui 雲水 12:56, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- I fixed it ;)
- ALT2: ... that baritone Berthold Possemeyer performed songs by John Dowland, Gerald Finzi and Thomas Morley in a parody chamber musical after Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:46, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

- Review needed of new ALT2; striking original hook because Easter has already occurred and Gerda wants to use a different hook from her original suggestion. BlueMoonset (talk) 04:10, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
- The original hook was meant for Good Friday. I suggested a different one because it would have made sense then, but less so now. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 04:18, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
