Battle of the Sittang Bend
[edit]- ... that the Battle of the Sittang Bend was the last significant land battle of the Western allied powers in the Second World War?

- Hook is sourced by a reliable offline source. Article is long enough and new within the DYK standards. As far as I am aware of, no QPQ is needed b/c this is the fourth DYK nomination from this user. Good to go. Great job! ComputerJA (☎ • ✎) 02:04, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- "last significant land battle" or "last significant pitched battle on land"? Is there a significant difference? --PFHLai (talk) 22:06, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
- Judging by what wiki article says, I would say remove pitched battle from article and just say land battle instead?
- Removed 'pitched' as too old for a WWII battle. Shire Lord 20:44, 7 April 2014 (UTC)
