- ... that rebel leader and later President Yoweri Museveni had to walk 19 kilometres (12 mi) and borrow a car before the Battle of Kabamba because his pickup truck had broken down? Source: "The pick-up with which they had started their journey in Kampala had gotten a flat tyre at Katigondo about 19 kilometers from Masaka on the Nyendo-Sembabule road. It was then that their driver announced that he had not brought a spare tyre. Museveni had to walk back to Nyendo (19 kilometers to the rear) in the dead of night to the home of Nathan Ruyondo and sell him some story about needing to borrow his Peugeot 304 to go and attend a relative's wedding."
