... that the number of Alids killed in the Battle of Fakhkh in 786 was exceeded only by the Battle of Karbala? Source: Veccia Vaglieri 1971, "Thus ended the revolt which, in the number of ʿAlids killed, was surpassed only at Karbalāʾ"
ALT1:... that one of the survivors of the Battle of Fakhkh, Idris ibn Abdallah, went on to establish his own dynasty in Morocco? Source: Turner, "Idrīs b. ʿAbdallāh survived the battle and escaped by pretending to be a ḥajj pilgrim. He later fled to North Africa, where he founded the Idrīsid dynasty and ruled from 172/789 to 175/791"

ALT0 seems a little complicated, and looses its punch because virtually every reader is going to need to look up Alid, and possibly Battle of Karbala, in order to understand it. ALT1 is fine.
Suggestion: Insert '(modern Morocco)' in the main text of the article, which will both help the casual reader and tie this mention back to the way it is described in the lead.
Thanks for the suggestion Gog the Mild, it was an interesting read. QPQ now done. Cheers, Constantine ✍ 16:22, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
No, thank you. This one is equally straight forward, and a fascinating read. Feel free to give me aping when you GAN it. Gog the Mild (talk) 16:28, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
