Barney Berlinger
[edit]- ... that Barney Berlinger was the first track and field athlete to win the James E. Sullivan Award?
- ALT1:... that Barney Berlinger won the United States decathlon championship in 1933 despite jogging through the final event, 1500 meters, so slowly he scored no points?

- New, long enough neutral, cites sources, plagiarism-free, hooks are both short enough, cited, otherwise acceptable, QPQ is done, no image. It's worth noting that I much prefer the ALT over the original, although both are fine. The first one, while interesting out of context, falls flat on interesting-ness when you realize that he's the second person to receive the award. Sven Manguard Wha? 18:53, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
